WHAT IS A MANDATORY HEALTH INSURANCE?

 


Compulsory health insurance is the state provided health care system and economic measures
The Republic of Lithuania Law on Health Insurance (Official Gazette, 1996, no. 55-1287, 2002, no. 123-5512) terms and conditions guarantees compulsory health insurance of prohibited persons when the risk materializes, health care services and costs for services, medicines and medical aid reimbursement.

The cost of health care services, medicines and medical aid paid for by the compulsory health insurance fund, which consists of the compulsory health insurance financial framework is independent and not part of the state and municipal budgets.
